Welcome to India-EU Study Centres Programme

The India-EU Study Centres Programme forms an integral part of the India-EU Joint Action Plan which was announced/ adopted by the European (EU) and India in September 2005. The action plan is based on the decision of fostering a India-EU Strategic Partnership, which was agreed upon about four years ago on November 8, 2004. Although the programme – as suggested by its title and goals – aims to promote academic cooperation, it should actually be understood in this broader framework and accordingly classified: it serves to improve cooperation in all areas, also as a basis for enhancing knowledge about each other.
